Privacy Policy
Last updated: 03.07.2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Apex Scouter ("Apex Scouter", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). It also explains the rights you have over your personal data.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:
- Operator: Denis Salin
- Address: 62 Soi Mangosteen, Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
- Contact email: salin.web.designer@gmail.com
If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at the email above.
2. What this Service is
Apex Scouter publishes statistical, pre-fight analytical breakdowns of UFC bouts. We do not provide betting advice, odds, or gambling services. The Service offers free and paid ("Pro") subscription tiers.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Account information: your email address and, optionally, your name, collected when you register or sign in.
- Email preferences: the alert and digest settings you choose (for example, new-card alerts, card-update alerts, weekly digest).
- Communications: any information you include when you contact us for support or other inquiries.
3.2 Payment information
When you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVC, or other sensitive payment credentials. We receive limited billing and subscription data from Stripe (for example, subscription status, plan, billing period, and a customer identifier) so that we can provide and manage your subscription.
3.3 Information collected automatically
- Authentication and session data: when you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets tokens or cookies necessary to keep you logged in and to determine your access tier.
- Technical and usage data: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and timestamps. This is used for security, debugging, and operating the Service.
- Analytics data: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. See Section 6 for details.
3.4 Information we do not collect
- We do not publish or store fighter photographs.
- We do not intentionally collect special-category (sensitive) personal data about you.
- We do not sell your personal data.
4. How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- provide tier-appropriate access to analyses (anonymous, free, Pro);
- process and manage your subscription and payments (via Stripe);
- send transactional and service emails (for example, sign-in/magic links, account notices, and the alerts you opted into) via our email provider, Resend;
- respond to your requests and provide support;
- maintain the security and integrity of the Service and prevent abuse;
- understand how visitors use the Service and improve it (via Google Analytics — see Section 6);
- comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing (EU/EEA and UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create your account, provide the Service, and manage your subscription.
- Consent — for optional marketing or digest emails, where required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our offering, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law (for example, tax and accounting requirements relating to payments).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage mechanisms for the following purposes:
6.1 Strictly necessary cookies
Cookies required to run the Service — primarily to keep you authenticated and to remember your tier. We do not use these to track you across other websites.
6.2 Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4, a web-analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to understand how visitors use Apex Scouter so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example, _ga, which distinguishes users and expires after approximately 2 years) and collects information such as the pages you view, time spent on the site, the referring website, an approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. This information is aggregated and used for statistical purposes; we do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell your personal data.
Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it to servers outside your country. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services".
Your choices. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.
7. How we share information
We share personal data only with service providers ("processors") who help us operate the Service, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, hosting of stored data | Stores your account and preference data |
| Stripe | Payment processing and subscription management | Handles card data directly; we never see full card details |
| Resend | Sending transactional and notification emails | Receives your email address to deliver messages |
| Vercel | Application hosting and content delivery | May process technical/log data |
| Web analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Receives usage, device, and approximate location data — see Section 6 |
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
8. International data transfers
Our providers may process or store data in countries outside your own, including outside the EU/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) as offered by these providers. You can request more information using the contact details above.
9. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. After account closure, we retain limited information only where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are in the EU/EEA, you may contact your local data protection authority [for the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens].
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in those emails or by adjusting your email preferences in your account.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including provider-level access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults only and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
